If you are a victim of fraud by a construction company, an unreliable professional or are in the middle of a renovation or construction that has not been duly completed, then you need support. In the course of my assignment, I will take accurate pictures of all the workmanship errors. I will listen to you carefully. I will gather all the necessary information that will allow me to know the whole context of the situation in which you find yourself. I will take detailed measurements of the performed work. I will measure verticality deviations of wall surfaces, flatness deviations, angles of convergence of wall planes (corners). I will verify the correct execution of tiling, painting, wallpaper installation, window installation, plastering work, floor installation and other construction work done during renovation or construction, measure the moisture content of walls and floors.
From the site visit I will prepare a detailed document with photos and detailed descriptions with reference to the guidelines on how these works should be done. The lead time is up to 2 weeks. The appendix to the study is a detailed investor cost estimate prepared in Norma Expert, a software used by major construction companies and insurance companies. The expert report prepared by me can be used as evidence in litigation.
Visual inspection without documentation
Frequently the investor needs to know whether the construction work during renovation or construction is done properly, in accordance with the workmanship instructions as well as technical and construction regulations, but does not need any documentation from these activities. In such cases, I perform a site inspection, taking measurements of building components (including verticality, leveling, and deviations) using a feeler gauge and other diagnostic tools, followed by a visual assessment of the workmanship. The rate for such a service is lower compared to a service involving the preparation of respective documents.
Assessing the condition of a building after fire or flooding
If your apartment or house has been flooded or burned down, I can help. With fires, I assess the condition of the building’s structural elements. I qualify for serviceability the various structural elements, including roof trusses, ceilings, structural walls, stairs and others. An expert report is prepared from the inspection of the building, often including numerous photos with descriptions and a detailed cost estimate prepared in Norma Expert cost estimation program. Such a document can be effectively submitted to your insurer. In the event of litigation with the insurer, the document can be used in court.
